EKTT CHAMPIONSHIP
Eastern Kentucky Table Tennis Championship Format: Best 4/7 games. Must be defended every 30 days (or as deemed necessary by EKTT Board). No. 1 contender that receives the title match will be the player of the previous months round robin point finishes (10 points for first place, 9 points for 2nd place
8 for 3rd place, 7 points for 4th place, and 6 points for 5th place). If the EKTT Champion cannot defend the title on the required date, a one-week grace period will be enacted. If the EKTT Champion cannot defend on the extension date, the title’s status will be referred to the EKTT Board for a final decision determined by a majority vote.
Penalty: Any champion that vacates the EKTT Championship is not eligible to compete for the title over the course of the next two defense cycles. If a champion vacates the title twice within 12 months, the player vacating the title will not be eligible to play for the EKTT Championship during the next six championship cycles.
EKTT DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP (Best of 1 game to 31) Defended weekly. If champions are unable to meet their title defense, they will receive a one week grace period (two teams will play that week to see who will challenge for the titles-or the top ranked team in attendance will get the title opportunity. If one doubles champion is in attendance, and his partner is not, a substitute partner can be picked (it can be any player). If the titles are not defended for two consecutive weeks, the two top ranked teams will play for the vacant title to become the new champions.
INTERDIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP (Best of 5 games to 11) This title is restricted to EKTT League Rated players of under 1600 to 1400). Title to be defended every 30 days (ideally at the second meet of each month). There will be a one week grace period if not defended at the mandatory time. If the title is not defended by the extension (following week), the two top players for the title will play for the vacant championship. A player may hold or win the title with a provisional allowance of 20 points higher than 1600, by if a player exceeds the 20 point allowance, they will be stripped of the title and it will become vacant.
Cruiser Championship (Best 3 out of 5 games to 11).
This title is for players rated under 1400. Players not defending the title at the mandatory time (ideally the third week of each month) will receive a one week extension. If the title is not played on the extension deadline, it will be declared vacant and the two top contenders will play for the Cruiser Championship. If a player exceeds 1350 points at any given time, he or she must vacate the Cruiser Championship.

GPTT Grand Championship -Weekly
Interdivision Championship-2nd week of the month
Cruiser Championship -3rd week of the month

Format: Best of 7..
Status: League Championship
Title to be played weekly.
GPTT Commissioner will select match-up for the weekly title match. In case the chosen contender contender cannot play, back-up replacements will be in waiting. A one week extension will be granted to the champion in the event he cannot defend the title. A two week extension may also be granted by the GPTT Commissioner. If the title is declared vacant, the GPTT Commissioner will declare a new champion, a match for the title, or a tournament to determine the new GPTT Champion.
A champion who forfeits the title cannot compete for the title for at least one month or at the discretion of the GPTT Commissioner.
other rules
It is always preferable for an umpire to officiate any title match. It is mandatory for an official to oversee the EKTT and GPTT Title matches. If you are unable to defend a title or play for a title, please contact the EKTT President ASAP.
